1. What is browser-safe color palette/web-safe colours?
A. It is the actual palette that Mosaic, Netscape, and Internet Explorer use within their browsers. The palettes used by these browsers are slightly different on Macs and PCs. This palette is based on math and only contains 216 colours out of a possible 256. The Browser-Safe Palette is useful for flat-colour illustrations, logos with flat-colour, and areas in any image that have a lot of a single colour.
2. Is it still relevant in today’s context? Why?
Q. Not so much as the palette contains far less light and dark colours. It is heavy on highly saturated colours and low on muted, tinted or toned colours. The choices are very limited and hence, many users don’t have alot of picking confidence nor can work with limited colour choice.
3. What are the common fonts face found on PC & MAC?
A. Arial, times new roman.
4. What is page loading time and how it influence your design?
A. It is the time taken for a certain web page to load 100%. It can usually be found on the bottom left hand corner of the page. It will benefit for all user as faster pages make a better user experience. The user notices page load times, either consciously or subconsciously. Slow pages loses money as many users are impatient. They wanted to save time from waiting. We have to think of ideas to “entertain” them while waiting for the page to load. For example, we can iclude a bar showing how much time left beofre the page is loaded till 100%.
5. There is alot of steps that have to keep in mind. We need to analyze it to cater to your own client or consumer. The design of the page plays a part as well, like for example the colour choice, typography, images, music and sound effect. Thereafter we need to develop the page and implement on it. Once the page is done, we need to evaluate it. Think of a room for improvement, feedbacks, etc.
In my opinion the way that the he create his web page is very clear and organised. The typograhy used is appropriate and basically, users are able to navigate easily through the website. On the other hand, some of the links are not valid but still, on overall presentation, he did preety well. It provides information clearlt for users to start off their career as web designer and as well the step by step to achieve a good web page design. Users are able to give comments and share their opinions on the page as well. Giving feedbacks is good as both users and designers can learn and improve on certain things.
